Globalport Matnog Terminal Inc. (GMTI) successfully conducted and actively participated in the International Coastal Cleanup 2026 held on 19 September at Brgy. Tabunan, Matnog, Sorsogon.
The activity started as early as 5:30 AM, bringing together various stakeholders in a shared commitment to protecting our coastal environment. GMTI was joined by representatives from the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), the LGU-MENRO team, Barangay Tabunan officials, and the residents of Brgy. Tabunan.
Through collective effort and active participation, the group worked together to remove waste and debris along the coastline, helping promote a cleaner, safer, and healthier coastal environment.
More than just a cleanup activity, the initiative demonstrated the importance of community partnership, environmental stewardship, and shared responsibility in protecting our natural resources.
