“Kawayanihan: Masaganang Kabuhayan at Mayabong na Likas-Kawayan Tungo sa Luntiang Kinabukasan”
In celebration of World Bamboo Day 2026, Globalport Ozamis Terminal Inc., participated in a Bamboo Growing Activity held on September 18, 2026, from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM at Barangay Tituron, Tangub City.
Carrying the theme “Kawayanihan: Masaganang Kabuhayan at Mayabong na Likas-Kawayan Tungo sa Luntiang Kinabukasan,” the activity highlighted the importance of bamboo as a valuable natural resource that contributes to environmental conservation, sustainable livelihood, and community resilience.
As part of the initiative, approximately 300 bamboo seedlings were planted through the collective efforts of participating organizations, community members, and volunteers. Beyond the planting activity itself, the event encouraged greater awareness of the importance of growing and nurturing bamboo as a practical and sustainable environmental initiative.
GOTI’s participation reflects its continuing commitment to environmental stewardship, sustainability, and meaningful community engagement. By supporting initiatives that promote the restoration and protection of natural resources, the company contributes to healthier communities and a greener environment for present and future generations.
Through collective action—one seedling, one community, and one initiative at a time—we can help create a more sustainable future.
