On May 18, 2026, in a brief ceremony coinciding with the LGU Matnog Weekly Flag Ceremony, Globalport Matnog Terminal Inc. (GMTI) officially turned over one (1) brand-new unit of a 125cc Rusi Macho Motorcycle to the Local Government Unit of Matnog.
This donation stands as a concrete symbol of GMTI’s sincere support and deep appreciation for LGU Matnog’s unwavering cooperation. The LGU has been a vital partner in GMTI’s day-to-day operations, most notably through their consistent assistance in managing and facilitating smooth traffic flow along the busy Maharlika Highway.
“We recognize how vital mobility is in delivering efficient public services, including peace and order, emergency response, and traffic management,” GMTI management shared. “This donation serves as our way of giving back and strengthening our partnership, ensuring that the LGU team has the necessary resources to continue helping us and serving the community effectively.”
The addition of the new motorcycle is expected to boost the LGU’s agility in responding to local needs and maintaining order around the port perimeter. By equipping our local traffic and security enforcers with reliable transportation, GMTI aims to foster a safer, more organized environment for both the residents of Matnog and the traveling public.
GMTI remains committed to being a proactive corporate citizen, working together with local leaders to drive progress, safety, and seamless operations in the region.
