Job Description:
Ensures that all safety policies are being implemented and strictly observed by all personnel. Reports any observed violations of port safety rules and regulations established by the company in collaboration with the Philippine Ports Authority. Inspects and investigates sources of pollution to protect the public and environment and ensure conformance with rules and ordinances. Examine and update permits, licenses, applications, and records of environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Proposes a wholistic Company Safety Program and author policies in relation to this.
2. Conducts risk assessments in the workplace and identifying process bottlenecks, offering timely solutions.
3. Prepares safety seminars, orientations, and webinars on a regular basis.
4. Reviews existing policies and procedures related to Safety.
5. Prepares and submit monthly report on all inspections conducted to serve as basis in improving the systems by which safety rules and regulations of the company are implemented.
6. Prepares and present reports on accidents and violations and determine causes.
7. Orients and re-orients concerned personnel on the provisions of the Company Safety Program particularly on safety practices and policies.
8. Act as a regular member of the fire brigade of the company and organizes other members and volunteers to effectively respond during fire emergencies.
9. Prepares and present reports and determine the nature of violations and recommended course of actions to be taken.
Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or any related field.
- Completed a Pollution Control Officer (PCO) Training from an accredited training institution recognized by DENR-EMB.
- Completed a Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) Training.
- Preferably with experience in environmental compliance, pollution control, waste management, or occupational health and safety, especially in ports, logistics, or related sectors.
- Knowledge of the key Safety and Environmental Risks and Health related aspects associated with different areas including Safety Cases, operational and workplace risk management systems, and processes.
- Knowledge on Port Terminal Safety Operations.
- Thorough knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
- Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
- Knowledge in writing policies and procedures for health and safety.
- Capacity to develop training modules and effectively conduct training.
- Developed skill on Incident Investigation.
- Strong management and leadership skills.
