Globalport Agusan Terminal Inc. (GATI) successfully organized a two-day Livelihood Program on November 21-22, 2024, to empower residents of Nasipit, Agusan del Norte, with skills in Hair Cutting and Massage Therapy. The program targeted the wives and family members of port workers, offering them opportunities to gain practical skills for increased income.
Certified trainers from TESDA and LGU Butuan City led the hands-on training for 20 participants, providing engaging and interactive learning experiences. Live demonstrations and practice sessions with Globalport Agusan employees as models enhanced the training’s practical aspect.
This Livelihood Program reflects Globalport Agusan’s commitment to community development by providing educational and economic support to port workers’ families. By equipping individuals with marketable skills, Globalport Agusan continues to make a meaningful impact on the lives of residents.
