On 18 September 2025 at 0630H, Globalport Ozamiz Terminal Inc. took part in the celebration of Philippine Bamboo Month with the theme “Kawayan: Kalikasan, Kabuhayan, Kaunlaran sa Kinabukasan Para sa Bagong Pilipinas.”
In partnership with the Philippine Ports Authority PMO-MOZ, Philippine Coast Guard, PNP Maritime Police, Philippine Statistics Authority, La Salle University, and Misamis University, and under the leadership of DENR-CENRO, the group planted 300 young bamboo seedlings along the riverbank of Brgy. Sedac, Tudela, Misamis Occidental.
This initiative highlights bamboo’s role as a sustainable resource—helping protect the environment, strengthen community livelihoods, and support national progress.
