(GTTI) recently achieved a significant milestone in its commitment to operational excellence by successfully passing a three-day surveillance audit from February 19 to 21, 2025. The audit was conducted to assess the company’s adherence to three important ISO standards: ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management).

 

The successful completion of this surveillance audit underscores the ongoing efforts of Globalport Tacloban Terminal Inc. in striving for operational excellence and continuous improvement. Highlights from the Exciting Sports Festival at Globalport Agusan

Globalport Agusan celebrated its 3rd Anniversary with a Sports Festival from February 17 to 20, 2025. The festivities kicked off with a Color Fun Run at 6 AM, where employees participated in a lively 3-kilometer run at the port of Nasipit. Following the run, teams engaged in a Cheering Competition, fostering camaraderie among the three competing teams: Tribu Uno: Verdant Navigators, Anino Squad, and Blue Phoenix.

The morning included traditional Larong Lahi games, followed by an afternoon of Basketball that showcased the athletic talents of the participants. The second and third days brought exciting mental and physical challenges, including competitions in Mobile Legends (ML) and Chess, culminating in thrilling Dodge Ball and basketball finals.

The festival’s final day was filled with energy, starting with a lively Zumba session. This was followed by the highly anticipated SQUID GAME, where teams enthusiastically competed for the top position.

The event concluded with an awarding ceremony that celebrated the achievements of all participants. Blue Phoenix was proclaimed the champion, with Anino Squad in second place and Tribu Uno: Verdant Navigators securing third. This Sports Festival not only promoted fitness and friendly competition but also strengthened the bonds among employees at Globalport Agusan.

Globalport Bohol Terminal Inc., 5th Mangrove Tree Planting Activity

Globalport Bohol Terminal Inc. (GBTI) conducted its 5th Mangrove Tree Planting Activity on February 12, 2025. With the coordination of the DENR/CENRO BOHOL personnel, it was held at the Brgy. Basac, Loon Bohol, which is the designated site for environmental activities. The activity aimed to promote environmental protection and awareness and conservation among the participants and the local community. Planting mangroves can reduce shoreline erosion and can protect coastal communities against coastal flooding, high winds, and waves. The participants planted Three Thousand Five Hundred (3500) propagules and Five Hundred (500) seedlings of Bongalong tree.

Globalport Agusan: Three Years of Success, A Milestone Worth Celebrating

Globalport Agusan Terminal Inc. celebrated its 3rd Anniversary on February 10, 2025. The day commenced with a thanksgiving mass attended by all employees, as well as PPA department heads and key officers. Following the mass, General Manager Roewe Endaya delivered a message reflecting on the team’s hard work and shared successes. Employees also took a moment to reminisce about special moments from their journey together.

To wrap up the event, everyone enjoyed lunch together, fostering a sense of gratitude and celebration.

Looking ahead, GM Endaya announced that a Sports Festival is scheduled for the upcoming week, encouraging team building and camaraderie among employees. This anniversary not only celebrates past achievements but also looks forward to a bright future for Globalport Agusan Terminal Inc.

Together for the Coast: Mangrove Planting and Community Clean-Up Journey

Globalport Ozamiz Terminal Inc. conducted its first CSR activity of the year on January 31, 2025, in celebration of Zero Waste Month and World Wetlands Day 2025. In partnership with DENR-CENRO and other community stakeholders, the event took place at Marcelo Fertilizer in Iligan City, where participants planted mangrove propagules and engaged in a coastal cleanup drive. It was a valuable experience, especially for those planting mangroves for the first time. The morning was filled with learning, teamwork, and a strong sense of purpose as they collaborated to make a positive impact on the environment.                                                                         

Team Globalport planted 150 propagules and generously donated 2,000 propagules to CENRO Iligan, which will be nurtured in their nursery to reach maturity for planting. The event was a collective effort involving environmental champions, all working towards a common goal of protecting and preserving the environment for future generations.

A Surveillance Assessment was Conducted at Globalport Agusan from January 30 to January 31, 2025

The audit began with an opening meeting, during which auditors outlined the objectives and scope of the assessment. This was followed by a document review, where company policies, safety protocols, and operational records were evaluated for adherence to industry standards. Additionally, an on-site inspection was conducted, during which auditors observed daily operations, checked safety measures, and interviewed employees to verify their knowledge and compliance with procedures. Globalport Agusan successfully met all necessary requirements and passed the audit. The process concluded with a closing meeting, where auditors provided feedback and acknowledged the company’s commitment to maintaining high standards.

Globalport Agusan Achieves 1 Million Safe Man-Hours, Reaffirms Safety Commitment

Globalport Agusan Terminal Inc. achieved a significant milestone by reaching 1 million safe man-hours without any lost-time incidents or accidents on December 20, 2024. The milestone was celebrated with a thanksgiving mass followed by a program emphasizing the company’s dedication to safety and health.

During the event, PPA Agusan, Globalport Agusan employees, and stakeholders such as Richland United Solutions Inc. and Commando Security Service Agency Inc. signed a safety commitment, reaffirming their pledge to uphold and enhance safety practices.

Certificates of appreciation were presented to partner organizations in recognition of their valuable contributions to this accomplishment. This milestone underscores the collective commitment to safety, and Globalport Agusan remains steadfast in maintaining a robust safety culture and striving for even greater achievements in the future.

 

GITI Launches Livelihood Program, Building Stronger Communities

Globalport Iligan Terminal Inc. (GITI) proudly hosted its first Livelihood Program at the Terminal Management Center (TMC) on December 06, 2024, marking a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to community empowerment and development. This initiative was made possible through a partnership with the TESDA Provincial Center Region X, providing expertise and support for the program.

The event brought together employees and community members, particularly the spouses and relatives of port workers, eager to acquire new skills for livelihood opportunities. The program aimed to equip participants with practical skills in basic handicrafts, hand and foot care services, and entrepreneurial development, essential for economic stability and financial independence.

Certified TESDA trainers led interactive sessions, ensuring hands-on training and valuable insights for all participants. The training encouraged real-life practice and active participation in skill-building activities.

This Livelihood Program emphasized self-sufficiency and showcased Globalport Iligan Terminal’s role in community development, aligning with its corporate social responsibility initiatives. Globalport Tacloban Receives “2024 Division Stakeholders’ Gawad Dungog” Award for Adopt-A-School CSR Initiative

Globalport Tacloban Terminal Inc. was proudly recognized by the Department of Education – Region VIII Eastern Visayas with the prestigious “2024 Division Stakeholders’ Gawad Dungog” award on December 06, 2024. The award ceremony took place at Hotel de Fides in Tacloban City.

Ms. Ma. Abigail Caliso, the Project Lead for Globalport Tacloban’s Adopt-A-School Project, accepted the award on behalf of the company. Two certificates were presented: one to Globalport Tacloban Terminal, Inc. and another to General Manager Mr. Glenn A. Globalport Zamboanga Terminals Inc. Leads Mangrove Planting in Zamboanga City

Globalport Zamboanga Terminal Inc. (GZTI) spearheaded a mangrove planting activity in Talabaan, Zamboanga City on November 22, 2024, aimed to strengthening efforts in environmental conservation and coastal protection.

The event brought together key stakeholders, including personnel from the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) and the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO). Through their collective effort and dedication, a total of 10,000 mangrove propagules were successfully planted, reinforcing the importance of mangroves in maintaining coastal ecosystems, preventing erosion, and supporting biodiversity.

This initiative underscores Globalport Zamboanga’s commitment to sustainability and the protection of the environment, contributing to the long-term health of the region’s coastal areas.
