Globalport Surigao Achieves Zero Non-Conformity, Earns Positive Finding in ISO Surveillance Audit

Surigao City, Philippines — Globalport Surigao Terminal Inc. (GSTI) successfully passed its first ISO Integrated Management System (IMS) Surveillance Audit on August 28–29, 2025, with zero non-conformities and one positive finding cited for the improvement of its facilities.

The surveillance audit, conducted by TÜV SÜD, covered ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health & Safety Management). This annual audit follows GSTI’s certification last September 23–26, 2024, and ensures that the company continues to uphold world-class standards in its operations.

The audit scope included critical port terminal operations such as container and passenger terminal management, cargo handling, cargo storage management, roll-on/roll-off (RORO) services, weighbridge services, rental services, porterage, and port reception facilities.

With no non-conformities raised, the auditors noted a commendable positive finding highlighting the company’s ongoing improvement of facilities. This achievement demonstrates GSTI’s strong commitment to continuous development and adherence to international standards.

Management Representative Julie Ann Marie Cabillar, together with General Manager Mark Lester T. Tan, the IMS Team, department heads, and all employees, played key roles in the successful audit. “This result is a collective effort of all departments, and we remain committed to ensuring safe, efficient, and quality port operations for our clients and stakeholders,” the management expressed.

By maintaining its ISO certifications, GSTI reinforces its reputation as a trusted port terminal operator, strengthening client confidence while ensuring that its operations remain safe, efficient, and aligned with global best practices.
