Globalport Surigao Terminal Inc. Achieves ISO IMS Certification with Zero Non-Conformities

Globalport Iligan Terminal Inc. celebrated a significant milestone with the ISO Certification Unveiling Ceremony at TMC Building, Port Area, Iligan City on September 24, 2024. The event marked the successful achievement of the company’s ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System, and ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System certifications.

The ceremony brought together Globalport executives, employees, and distinguished guests, including officials from the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) and local government representatives. Mr. Eugene Bandayrel Jr., General Manager of Globalport Iligan and Ozamiz, delivered an insightful opening speech, emphasizing the company’s journey towards obtaining these esteemed ISO standards and the collaborative efforts involved. Following his address, Mr. Henry Rophen B. Virola, Group President & CEO of Globalport Terminals Inc., Mr. Arthur B. Nogas, Acting Port Manager of PPA, and Mr. Frederick “Freddie” Siao, the City Mayor of Iligan, delivered inspiring speeches, highlighting the significance of this achievement for both the company and the local community.
