On October 18, 2024, Globalport Tacloban Terminal Inc. (GTTI) hosted a livelihood program “Mani-Pedi” at their conference room. Led by Ms. Verlina Cayanes, the project aimed to empower women from Barangays 1 & 4 and immediate family members of GTTI employees through skills training in collaboration with the City Government’s CLEP. Globalport Tacloban generously provided manicure and pedicure kits to all participants. The training session provided participants with practical skills in manicure and pedicure, enabling them to pursue new income opportunities.
The City Government’s CLEP commended GTTI for its community contribution and commitment to enhancing livelihood programs. Through this program, GTTI upholds women’s empowerment and community development, providing opportunities for economic independence.
